1) What woods and finishes are available?
The majority of our Prairie and Arts & Crafts furniture is
done in two wood species, cherry and quartersawn white oak. Upon
placing your order, we will supply you with a variety of stain
samples. To learn more, go to our woods and finishes page. We
also create pieces in maple, walnut, mahogany and red oak.

2) Can you match the wood and finish on a piece
I already have?
No problem. Send us a sample shelf or drawer. We will verify the
wood species, then send you a matching sample for your approval.
If you have a really unique finish, or want a perfect match, we
can also create a custom stain match. Custom finish matches start
at $60.00

3) Can I change the dimensions on one of your
pieces to fit my space?
Since each one of our pieces is built to order, one at a time,
it is relatively easy and inexpensive to change dimensions. (We
do not automatically charge 50 - 100% more like many manufacturers!)
There is a small design charge, and beyond that you only pay for
the actual difference in labor and materials to make the change.
If you need to fit an unusual space, let us know your requirements
and we will work with you to meet them!

4) Can I choose my fabric or leather?
Certainly. All of our seating pieces include your choice of a variety
of grade 1 fabrics. We use fabrics and leathers by Robert Allen,
reproduction Frank Lloyd Wright fabrics (these are very popular!),
Schumacher and Beacon Hill. If you wish to supply your own fabric
there is no extra charge - just let us know and we can tell how
how much you will need.

5) Can I choose leaded glass colors and patterns
to fit my room?
Any of our glass patterns can be adapted to fit any of our bookcases
or hutches. The designs include suggested color combinations, but
if you wish to substitute other colors from our standard glass line
you can.

6) How do you ship the furniture to me?
We usually deliver in our own truck in Indiana, the western half
of Ohio, eastern Illinois and southern Michigan. For other areas
we ship our furniture via blanket wrapped furniture specialist.
They will bring the furniture right into your home. No uncrating
or assembly is usually required. We have been very pleased with
the results - our customers have appreciated the service.

7) What does shipping cost?
Call us and wed be happy to give you a quotation.

8) Where can I see your furniture first hand?
Our showroom by appointment only. Please call us at 574-536-0491 to schedule your appointment.

9) Where is Goshen, Indiana?
Goshen is 30 minutes east of South Bend, Indiana, 45 minutes from
Notre Dame University, 10 south of Interstate 80 at the Bristol
exit (State Road 15), 2 hours from downtown Chicago, 3 hours from
Indianapolis and less than 4 hours from Detroit.

10) What does the piece I am interested in cost?
We design and build all of our pieces in house to your specifications.
If you want to price an item, discuss the various options available,
change something about a piece, or if you want a quote on custom
work, please call us at 574-536-0491 or e-mail
us. With decades of experience, our staff is intimately familiar
with the details and construction of each piece.

11) How long does it take to produce a piece
of furniture?
Our lead times vary with the piece and the time of year, generally
running between 8-16 weeks. That amount of time is required
because every piece we make is hand built to order by one
craftsmen, one piece at a time. Good things come to those who
wait!

12) What are your payment terms?
We require 50% down and the remainder when the piece is complete.
We accept personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American
Express. Your piece will be scheduled when we receive your down
payment.

13) How do I place an order?
Give us a call at 574-536-0491 and talk to someone in our Design
and Sales Office. We will walk you through the various options that
are available. If you know the catalog numbers of the pieces you
like and have a credit card number, you can place your order over
the phone. With every order we will send you a written proposal
which includes specifications for each piece, an itemized list of
options you chose and details of any modifications to the standard
design. You will also receive a written confirmation letter and
an invoice showing your payment.

14) What if Im ready to place an order
but I dont know what finish or fabric I want?
We generally do not need to know your finish and fabric for 3-4
weeks after you place an order. Most of our customers make their
selection during that time. If you have special requirements let
us know.

15) Is the furniture covered by a warranty?
All our furniture carries a 5 year warranty against defects in
materials or workmanship.

16) Who are some of your well known clients
or commissions?
Our most fun famous commission was building a display
case for the original letter sweater of George Gipp (the guy who
inspired Knute Rocknes Win One for the Gipper
line). The case was given to president Ronald Reagan at the White
House, and appeared on the cover of USA Today. We got the job on
a Saturday morning and the case was on the plane to Washington on
Tuesday. The finish had not had time to cure, so they had to buy
a ticket for it to ride on a seat on the way out!
We have had thousands of clients over the last 30 years, and the
bulk of our work is commissions for private homes or private individuals
like yourself. However, we have done work for Allied Corporations
corporate headquarters, Whirlpool Financial Corp., Notre Dame University,
The Basilica at Notre Dame, St. Marys College, Bayer Corp.,
Miles Laboratories, etc. Our company has been featured in the Chicago
Tribune, the South Bend Tribune, Heritage Country magazine, and
Custom Woodworking Business magazine, among others.
